    Mission Summary for Oct 09, 2004 for flight #1

    The Proteus departed Fairbanks at 1900 UTC and transited to Oliktok. The Proteus flew a banked orbit and a series of racetrack legs over Oliktok for 30 minutes in coordination with the UND Citation. After this, it departed for Barrow and arrived there around 2144 UTC. For the next 45 minutes, it flew a banked orbit followed by a series of racetrack legs over Barrow in coordination with the UND Citation that was spiraling through cloud. At 2229 UTC, the Proteus departed for Oliktok with the Citation, but broke away from the Barrow-Oliktok path at approximately 2300 UTC to position itself for an A-train overpass at approximately 2320 UTC before arrival in Fairbanks.
