Mission Summary for Oct 05, 2004

The Citation had a successful 3.5 hr flight through multiple decks of mixed phase clouds. After initial ice nuclei measurements above cloud we did level legs in cloud descending to below cloud base at Barrow. We then did three spirals over the ARM-NSA ACRF site at Barrow before returning to Oliktok, stepping up through the cloud layers again. We then did a spiral down over Oliktok prior to landing at Deadhorse. Early indications are that all instruments with exception of HVPS worked well, so this looks like an interesting case. The RAMS model was able to capture the multi-deck liquid layer nature of the clouds.
